Visual Phonics, Autism, Speech/Language, Classroom management, time management, how to teach the Deaf/ Hearing Impaired. Deaf/Hearing Impaird and Blind Board in 2000, transitional training, plus many more.
I came to Harrah, OK in 1988. I was hired for Speech Language Pathologist and Educator for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired. I have taught children in every school in the district. I will be starting my twenty-seventh year with the Harrah School System. I have very proud the be teaching for Harrah Public Schools. I love the community and plan to ritire here, when my youngest graduates from college.
I am basically am basically responsible for Individual Educational Plans and implementation of that plan. I work with the teachers, to educate them of the needs and modifications for each student. I monitor grades and see and tutor students with their regular classroom work, when needed. I travel to all the school sites.
I started my career teaching Speech/Language and working with the Deaf/Hearing Impaired. I worked there for two years. I loved the school, kids and the community of Lindsay. I left due to relocation and marriage.
During the time at Lindsay, I went the the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and received my Certification for Educator of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired.
I then, moved to Jones, OK and taught in Shawnee, OK. I taught in Shawnee Public Schools. I taught there for five years with the Deaf/Hearing Impaired.
I left there for a less of a commute to Harrah, OK. This is starting my 27th year for Harrah Public Schools. I was hired for Speech/Language Pathology part-time and Educatior for the Deaf/Hearing Impaired. At this time, I have too many Hearing Impaired students, so I have been unable to work with speech students.
I have been married to Randy Devine for 25 years. He works in the Oil and Gas Industry. We live in the country and love living. We have five children; Angela Dearman, Carrie Thomas, Randy Devine, Molly Devine and Callie Devine. All of my children have graduated from Harrah High School, except Callie, who is a Junior in high school.
