About Elizabeth Smith

This is my twenty fourth year of teaching Science at Harrah High School.  My current classes are Chemistry, AP Chemistry and AP Environmental Science.   I am also the adviser for Chemistry Club and National Honor Society.

Before I became a certified teacher, I spent thirteen years in medical research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the OU Health Sciences Center.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and graduate hours in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Microbiology and Immunology from the OU Health Sciences Center.

Teaching is my calling.  There is not a day that I do not enjoy coming to school and being with my students.  My primary focus is to prepare my students for higher education and to encourage them to be of service to their community.
